Gianfranco Ferré: moda, un racconto nei disegni

A Cremona, nella suggestiva cornice del Centro Culturale Santa Maria della Pietà, risalente al XV secolo, si celebra dal 21 aprile al 18 giugno “l’architetto della moda”Gianfranco Ferrè, con una mostra dal titolo: “Gianfranco Ferré. Moda, un racconto nei disegni”.

Nato a Legnano il 15 agosto 1944, dopo la maturità scientifica, si iscrive alla facoltà di Architettura al Politecnico di Milano, laureandosi nel 1969 con la tesi “Metodologia dell’approccio alla composizione”. Già durante gli studi universitari esprime l’estro creativo che lo contraddistingue disegnando e realizzando bijoux ed accessori che regala ad amiche e compagne di università. Proprio queste sue creazioni contribuiscono a farlo conoscere agli esperti del settore ed all’editoria. Dal 1973 al 1977 iniziano i viaggi che lo portano in India per conto di aziende di abbigliamento italiano e per il governo indiano. Dopo svariate consulenze in Italia per diverse aziende che gli valgono premi significativi, nel maggio del 1978 fonda la società “Gianfranco Ferré”, partecipando all’Alta Moda con le sfilate romane. Nel 1989 viene nominato Direttore Artistico di Christian Dior, carica che rivestirà sino al 1996. Nel 1998 grandi eventi celebrano i 20 anni della maison Ferré, mentre nel marzo 2007 Gianfranco Ferré viene nominato Presidente dell’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera. Si spegne precocemente il 17 giugno 2007.

Visitando la mostra si viene immediatamente trasportati in un mondo unico, fatto di eleganza sofisticatezza e femminilità. Questi sono i tratti distintivi che si riscontrano negli oltre 100 bozzetti autografi distribuiti per temi, affiancati da alcuni abiti che rappresentano la trasposizione materiale dell’impronta cartacea esposta.

Artifici, enfasi, colori, vitalità, sogni, sono questi i gruppi tematici su cui si snoda la mostra.

Osservando i bozzetti, fin dalla prima occhiata si viene rapiti da due concetti diametralmente opposti: la pulizia delle linee e delle forme, geometriche, nette e forti trasposte su carta, in contrasto con la tridimensionalità del disegno, da cui sembra voler uscire, prendendo vita, l’abito e la donna capace di raccontarlo indossandolo ed incarnare l’idea elaborata nella mente creativa dello stilista.

Forme geometriche, volumi strutturalmente solidi e tratti decisi a rappresentare punti vita e spalle che sanno tuttavia essere estremamente femminili e sinuosi, si mescolano all’opulenza materica e alla ricchezza di dettagli che contraddistinguono ogni singolo bozzetto.

Vedere poi alcuni bozzetti dello stilista concretizzati in vere e proprie opere d’arte tessile fa da corredo a questo magnifico percorso nel lavoro unico di Gianfranco Ferrè e permette di comprendere quanto lavoro, dalla scelta dei tessuti sulla base degli effetti voluti e graficamente rappresentati sino alla maestria sartoriale, sia necessario per realizzare questi capolavori del Made in Italy.

Un’eleganza innovativa ed intellettuale, studiata ma innata ed una moda creativa, ma anche logica. Questi elementi distintivi hanno caratterizzato l’identità stilistica di Gianfranco Ferré che affermava: “Il disegno per me riesce ad essere, non in ultimo, espressione individuale di aspettative, aspirazioni e desideri, legati al mio modo d’intendere la bellezza, l’armonia e lo stile, più ancora della moda. Una poesia che fa di quest’ultima un mezzo per raccontarsi, per tradurre in immagini, manifestare nella realtà e condividere il mio mondo interiore”.

Accanto alla mostra inoltre, organizzata dalla Fondazione Gianfranco Ferré con l’ausilio dell’Amministrazione Cittadina, si svolgerà il 18 maggio, in occasione delle Celebrazioni per i 450 anni della nascita di Claudio Monteverdi, una conferenza dal titolo: “Gianfranco Ferré. Moda, un racconto nella musica”, incentrata sull’importanza della scelta di una musica in grado di trasmettere l’emozione degli abiti durante una sfilata di moda.

In 1989 he was nominee Artistic Director of Christian Dior and remained in charge until 1996. In 1998 great events celebrated the 20 years of the Ferré maison, while in March 2007 Gianfranco Ferré was appointed President of the Brera Fine Arts Academy. Sadly he died early on June 17th, 2007.

Visiting the exhibition you are immediately transported into a unique world, full of sophisticated elegance and femininity. These are the distinctive features found in more than 100 autographs drawings distributed by themes, alongside some dresses that represent the material transposition of the exposed prints.

Artificiums, emphasis, colors, vitality, dreams, these are the thematic groups on which the exposure is based.

Observing the sketches, from the first glance, we are raped by two diametrically opposing concepts: the cleansing of lines and shapes, geometric, net and strong transposed on paper, in contrast to the three-dimensionality of the drawings, from which seem to be coming out, taking life, The dress and the woman able to tell its story by wearing it and to embody the idea elaborated in the designer's creative mind.

Geometric shapes, structurally solid volumes, and strong traits designed to represent waist and shoulders which can, however, be extremely feminine and sinuous, are mixed with the material opulence and the richness of details that characterize every single sketch.

The opportunity to see also some sketches of the designer transposed also in real piece of textile art, such as the clothes exposed, completes this magnificent travel in the unique work of Gianfranco Ferrè and let us to understand how much work, from the choice of fabrics depending from the desired and graphically represented effects, up to the Sartorial mastery, it is necessary to realize these masterpieces of Made in Italy.

An innovative and intellectual elegance studied but at the same time innate, and a creative but also logical fashion. These distinctive features have always characterized Gianfranco Ferré's stylistic identity, which states: "The design for me is, ultimately, an individual expression of expectations, aspirants, and desires, linked to my understanding of beauty, harmony, and style, more than fashion. A poem that becomes a tool to tell a story, to translate into images, to manifest into reality and to share my inner world. "

Besides the exhibition, organized by the Fondazione Gianfranco Ferré with the assistance of the Town Administration, there will be on May 18th, during the celebrations of the 450 years of the birth of Claudio Monteverdi, a conference entitled: "Gianfranco Ferré. Fashion, a tale in music ", focusing on the importance of choosing a music that can convey the emotion of clothes during a fashion show.
